Welcome to Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary

"Free to Just Be"

We are a registered Not-For-Profit organization, located near Saint-Pascal-Baylon, Ontario, east of Ottawa.  We provide a safe haven for life for animals who are at risk or who have only known abuse and neglect before being brought to us. The Sanctuary is a vegan-run facility though we do not require that anyone be vegan in order to volunteer or visit.

We encourage individuals from all walks of life who are interested in helping us care for our residents to come out and volunteer. Consider establishing a personal connection with one of our resident animals by becoming a sponsor.

Please note that because of our daily workload, and the need for the animals to have undisturbed quiet time, we cannot accommodate private visits. Everyone is welcome to come to our Open House and Visitor Day events to meet and spend time at the Sanctuary. Thank you for your understanding.

You can now donate through Paypal using your credit card.  Thank you for your support!  Donations of any amount help us continue to provide a safe haven here at the Sanctuary. Every cent of every donation goes 100% towards care of the animals, without exception. Paypal is a secure way to donate. You will not be charged any fees. You can also donate by using an e-transfer.

The Sanctuary is not open to the public on a daily basis.

There are opportunities to visit the animals during our scheduled open houses and visitor days. We also hold special visiting days for sponsors only.

Due to our heavy daily workload, and the need for our resident animals to have private, undisturbed quiet time, individual visits are not permitted.

Thank you for understanding.

Penny’s Shoppe is open!

Payment is through Paypal, you pay no fees, credit cards accepted.

All proceeds are 100% for the care of our animals, by buying an item you are not only making a donation, you will be receiving a beautifully designed item that helps spread the idea that more animals deserve to live “Free to Just Be”.

Special Project Work Groups

Shortly we will have a work day/potluck to both help clean up the horse paddocks (bring your shovel and we will supply the exercise!) and to also install soft flooring in Molly and Lucy’s stall (our little mule and pony), to help make them more comfortable given their hoof conditions.

A big thank you to the Algonquin College student group who came to volunteer at the Sanctuary Thursday morning, March 28!! Your help made a difference here!

By the way, if you live in the Clarence-Rockland area, you may be interested to know that the Sanctuary has its own Weather Station that updates local weather conditions online continuously (useful too if you are coming out to the Sanctuary
